Prabowo's Story Leads Defeat In 2014 Presidential Election A Few Years Ago
Kabar Hub. Presidential candidate number 02 Prabowo Subianto brought up the matter about his defeat in the 2014 Presidential Election when he was against Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla. Prabowo said that at that time there were frauds which he revealed, but were not heard.
Prabowo said none of the parties would listen to the reason he did not accept the defeat in the 2014 presidential election. In fact he said the Constitutional Court (MK) at that time seemed to not want to open evidence of fraud that was offered to the agency.
"I have proven, in 2014 our party felt that they were mistreated. The Constitutional Court judges did not want to open the evidence we brought," Prabowo said while delivering a speech at the Sentul International Convention Center (SICC), Bogor, West Java, Monday (17/12).
Even so, Prabowo claimed to remain broad-minded and acknowledged the victory of Joko Widodo as President of the 2014-2019 period. Even he said, he was still present at Jokowi's inauguration at that time.
"I'm fine. Just accept it, I even came to the inauguration," he said.
Prabowo then quipped that there were other leaders who were reluctant to come to the inauguration of his opponents when they lost the Presidential Election. Although he did not say the name or when it happened, according to Prabowo it was not an example of good democracy.
"There are those who have never come if their opponents are installed. Love just don't want to," he said.
Prabowo on that occasion even told about the democratic style of the previous leaders, namely Sukarno and Suharto.
Since long ago, he said, the community has the right to replace the president in a democratic country. Even Sukarno and Suharto decided to resign when the community wanted a change of state leader.
"Democracy means that the people have the right to replace their leaders if the people want it. Why does it have to be noisy in changing the leader. If the taxi driver seems to be going wrong, isn't it better to replace him?" Prabowo said.
He then highlighted the current government which he considered instead intimidating several parties, one of which was intimidation of the clerics. For this reason, Prabowo said, it was time for citizens' democratic rights to be used by their cadres to determine the next leader.
"Why do you have to be intimidated, why do our leaders want to be scared. Habib Rizieq is slandered, what kind of country, what country do we want. Brethren, as the best way of democracy, which means the people in power, democracy means that people determine leaders - the leader, "Prabowo said.
